Mica Habits is made by SOCIO CONNECT LLC. The short version: we collect the minimum the app needs to work, we sell nothing about you to anyone, and your habits are treated as private by design.

What stays on your phone

Your habit's name and your identity answer from onboarding live on your device. They are not sent to our servers unless you create an account, and the social parts of the app are built so they can never leak: friends see whether your fire is lit or resting, and structurally nothing more.

Apple Health

If you link a fire to Apple Health, Mica reads one of three totals for today on your phone: steps, mindful minutes or exercise minutes. When the total reaches the goal you chose, that fire is fed for the day. The reading is compared and then forgotten. It is never stored, never sent to our servers, and never shared with anyone or used for advertising. Mica never writes to Health. Only the fact that a fire was fed travels, the same as when you feed it by hand.

Talking to Mica

Mica can answer what you write to her in her own words. To do that, the conversation is sent to an AI service, Anthropic, which writes her reply. The app asks before the first message is sent, and you can say no, or turn it off later in Settings; Mica then answers from the phone alone. We don’t keep what you write, and Anthropic does not use it to train its models. We keep only a count of messages, to cap daily use.

Pictures of your room

“Share your room” makes a picture on your phone and hands it to the share sheet. It shows your room and how many things you have made, never a habit’s name, and it is not uploaded anywhere by us.

What we collect

What we do not do

Deleting your data

In the app, open Settings, then Your data: you can take a copy of everything, or delete your account and everything attached to it straight away. You can also email hello@micahabits.com from your account address. Deleting the app removes all on-device data.
